We are very proud to announce that the phenomenal vocalist Chris Cornell confirmed his appearance at the Metal Hammer Festival 2007. He and Tool will headline the new edition of the festival that will take place on 12th August at Spodek Hall, Katowice (Poland).
 
Chris Cornell - one of the best rock vocalist of our times. He began his musical career as a drummer, before moving on to become a singer and guitarist. Today he is best known as the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of two rock bands - the legendary Soundgarden and the super group Audioslave (created together with members of Rage Against The Machine).
 
In the early 90s he was also the frontman of Temple Of The Dog.
 
Cornell is also very succesful as a solo performer. His first solo album "Euphoria Morning" was released in 1999 and the single "Can't Change Me" was nominated for "Best Male Rock Vocal Performance" at the 2000 Grammy Awards. "Euphoria Morning" includes Chris' tribute to his friend Jeff Buckley - a song "Wave Goodbye". It has been noted that "Euphoria Morning" was influenced by Buckley's songwriting and distinctive vocal style. The follow-up entitled "Carry On" is set for release in June 2007.
 
It will be Cornell's first visit to our country and he already announced that we can expect him to perform selected tracks from his solo material, as also songs taken from Soundgarden's, Audioslave's and Temple Of The Dog's albums.
