Nearly the whole year of 2006 The Haunted spent on preparing new material, which premiere took place in Autumn last year. The group claims that this is their best album. With this and other material the band will arrive to Poland to play two shows for their fans. The legend of Swedish death metal in Poland!

The Haunted was formed in Goteborg in 1996, and in 2003 the band received the Swedish Grammy award for “Best Hard Rock Band”. The band’s music is a thrilling mixture of melodic death metal with precise thrash.

The new album by the Swedes – “The Dead Eye”, on which the band performs in top notch form, will be released 
In October. After three very well received albums and world tours alongside bands such as Napalm Death, Testament, Entombed, Dimmu Borgir, Lamb of God and Mastodon, The Haunted released “rEVOLVEr”, which gained the best reviews in the band’s history. This album, released in 2004, marked the return of the group’s original singer – Peter Dolving, who parted with the band after their debut album – “The Haunted”. Right after the release of “rEVOLVEr” the group once again begun touring, this time hitting North America accompanied by Damage Plan and Shadows Fall, and after that the band visited the Old Continent, where they first toured in England and then alongside Cradle of Filth and Moonspell traveled practically through whole Europe. During this tour The Haunted gave an unforgettable performance in Katowice’s Spodek, on the XIX edition of the Metalmania festival.

The biggest break for the group was the involvement in the annual Ozzfest festival of 2005, where each day the band performed on the second stage in front of thousands of fans. The group ended the promotion of “rEVOLVEr” with a double live performance impact: a second tour in America, this time with Meshuggah, God Forbid and Mnemic, and another visit in Europe, again with God Forbid and God Dethroned.

Most of the current year the band spent on preparing new material, which premiere is set on 30th October. The group claims that this will be their best album yet. Dovling: “This album is even more differentiated, dynamic and heavy as hell! We are all very proud of it”. The concert promotion of this LP will begin in November, when the Swedes will first appear in few European countries and then will tour in the USA along with Danzig, Lacuna Coil and others. After New Year’s Eve the band will once again visit Europe, and during this tour will present itself to the Polish crowd twice. The Haunted will by accompanied on this tour by two groups which names will be revealed in the near future.
