This fall marks the beginning of Satyricon?s European tour, during which the band will promote their newest album ? ?Now, Diabolical?. The tour includes two shows in Poland: on 10th October the group will perform in Wrocław and the day after in Warsaw?s Proxima. The band played in Poland before, 4 years ago it performed in Katowice?s Spodek. The official tour info of the Norwegians will appear soon, we will keep you informed.

Satyricon roams the music scene since the early 90’s, being lead by two musicians: Satyr and Frost. The group is known of its unconventional approach towards music, reaching far beyond the strict genre divisions. Nowadays it stands as one of the most respected and influential bands.

The band’s last album – “Volcano” (2002) received the Norwegian Grammy award for “Best metal album” and the song “Fuel For Hatred” was named “Song of the year” by Alarm Awards. The record soon became “Metal album of the year”. “Volcano” was also awarded as “Best Overall Album” by Oslo Awards. The record debuted at #2 in the Norwegian National Music Chart.

The band’s newest album – “Now, Diabolical”, which was released 17th April, also receives great reviews. The album was recorded in a Canadian studio in Vancouver, where it was mixed by Mike Frasier (Metallica, AC/DC). True black metal at its best!!!

As Satyricon’s support, both during their Polish concerts and the whole European tour, we will see Keep Of Kalessin – representatives of Norwegian epic metal, whose newest album – “Armada” – receives great reviews all across the world and debuted at #20 in Norway’s best-selling albums list. “Scream Magazine”, Norway’s biggest metal magazine places the band in the first league of extreme metal! With Keep Of Kalessin you can see how incredibly fast and precise true metal can be!

Moreover, in Warsaw and Wrocław we will see the Finnish band Insomnium with a huge dose of melodic death metal. So far they recorded two albums and just finished working on the third, which will be released a day before the show in Poland! According to the band, the new material which we’ll hear on “Above the Weeping World” will be more aggressive and violent, but it will not lose the progressive touch and depressive melodies.
